The glass winged butterflies are so popular and they look so due to the lack of tiny scales in their wings as other butterflies. Hence the wings are see-through which gives it a stunning beauty adored by everyone. These glasswinged butterflies are found in large numbers in Mexico, Panama, and Columbia. They are also capable of long flight and hence are seen as far as Florida. They grow on an average length of 28 to 30mm and have the capacity to travel up to eight miles per hour. The glass wings of these butterflies are rough in nature and so non-reflective which gives an appearance of empty panes.
