Spectacular spreading of feathers by male peacock is an impressive sight to watch even if it is plain white feathered peacock. The white peacock is native to India but now it is bred in various parts of the world too. The genetic mutation of leucism causes the lack of coloured pigments in the feathers and thus resulting in white peacock. These white peacocks are more impressive than their coloured counterparts and it's difficult to handle them. The male white peacocks have longer trains which have about 150 feathers and are seen in their full length when the peacock is about two years of age. White peacocks though fiercy it cannot be denied of its dazzling beauty and are adored as the symbol of purity and love. These peacocks have a lifespan of upto 50 years.
